Mikeska's BBQ Travels to Florida

Upon arrival in Florida the Mikeskas unloaded and traveled by van over to the catering site to set up for the event. Like clockwork the meal was served to the Westinghouse employees, right on schedule.

Catering out-of-state events is a task that requires precise timing, planning and hard work.

Nick and Gerry Mikeska travel to Flordia to cater a "Real Texas Barbecue" event for Westinghouse employees. Traveling by plane to out-of-state events is a welcomed treat for the Mikeska catering crew. Location is not a problem...you book it, we can get there by air, land or sea!

There's no challenge too big for the Mikeska Catering crew. Early risers prepare freshly seasoned barbecue at the El Campo location. The barbecue is packed in stainless steel heat insulated containers for the trip to Houston during the early hours of the morning. Upon arrival at the Houston airport, the packing and loading process begins.

Packing all of the prepared food and supplies onto the plane was a challenge for Tony the pilot and his crew. Safety was a top priority with the crew taking accurate weight measurements into account, as well as weight distribution on the plane. Nick and Gerry assisted with lifting the heavy loads and strapping them down.

Above, they are ready to load back up into the plane and head back home. After completing another successful catering event the crew is ready to head back to Texas. The plane did not have any stewardess on board, but the Mikeskas served Tony the Pilot a barbecue brisket sandwich on the ride home.

Mikeska's serves their barbecue in the air, on the ground, on a ship or wherever you next event might be held...
